If you are spending your Cheap Holidays in Spain, book your trip so it would coincide with the many fiestas that Spaniards celebrate. Spanish festivals are definitely spectacular events to experience. Here are some of the most famous ones that should be in your trip.

1. La Tomatina
Get messy and have some fun by joining the La Tomatina, commonly called Valencia Tomato Fight Festival. During the event, more than 30,000 people throw over 240,000 pounds of tomatoes at each other. Surely a variation of a fun snowball fight.

2. San Sebastian
If you are planning to visit hotels in Spain in January, be sure to join the San Sebastian festival in Basque Country. Listen to the rhythmic beat of drums as hundreds of groups of drummers parade through the city. The next day, you can watch the Tamborrada Infantil where little children beat on their percussion instruments.

3. Fallas de San Jose
The Fallas de San Jose event is a festival that has been a round since the Middle Ages. It is chock-full of exciting activities which includes a night time parade, a procession that goes through the old towns of Valencia, flower offerings to the Nuestra Senora de los Desamparados, and the burning of artfully made cardboard figures during the Nit del Foc. 4. Feria de Abril
The Feria de Abril festival is celebrated just after Holy Week in Andalucia. Enjoy cool sites such as multicolored tents, wreathes, and paper lanterns that adorn structures and houses. Check out the performance of cantaores, or flamenco singers, and bailaoras, or dancers.

5. Fiestas Patronales de la Virgen de Gracia
