If you would like to travel to an interesting place, you should consider traveling to Bulgaria. Located in southern Europe, this country is a melting pot for both the eastern and western European cultures. Also, it not only has lots of interesting history, but the landscape of the country is naturally captivating, which makes it an ideal destination for travelers. So, if you are thinking about visiting this, or any country, keep in mind that you will need to secure your passport in advance. If you go online to do this you can reap a number of benefits. Online services are fast because they offer options like next day United States passport applications, and they will also save u much unneeded stress.

Online passport services are a great idea for anyone who would like to save themselves the stress of standing in line at a brick and mortar location. Since these services offer applications that are available to fill out 24 hours a day, it is much more convenient. Also, these websites will offer additional services for you to choose from such as adding pages to your USA passport. However, regardless of your needs, going online will save you time and stress in the long run.

If you do decide to visit Bulgaria you will certainly want to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These locations are among the most popular attractions in Bulgaria for obvious reasons. UNESCO gives this special distinction to locations in the world that hold a lot of environmental or cultural value to the world. In Bulgaria, one of these places is The Kazanluk Tomb. This is a “beehive” type of tomb that has a lot of different decorations adorning the walls. One of these images is of a woman and it is actually depicted on the back of a Bulgarian coin! This tomb is part of a large necropolis and should be seen by anyone traveling to this area.

Another site worth seeing is The Ivanovo Rock Churches. This is actually a group of different chapels, monasteries, and churches that, believe it or not, are actually carved out of solid stone! One of the reasons you should visit here is because you not only will get to see where monks lived as early as 1220, but you can also check out the medieval frescos that still vividly adorn the walls. Quite a site to see!

Pirin National Park is yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site, but this one is recognized for its environmental status. In the park, there are two separate nature reserves. This specific park is recognized for it’s huge number of plant species. 1300 different species can be found in this one site, 30% of all plant species in Bulgaria. Many of these plant species are endemic to this region, meaning they are found nowhere else on earth. There are 45 species of land mammals in the park, 50% of the total in the country. In addition to this, there are 160 species of bird, 8 species of amphibian, 11 species of reptiles, and 2090 species of invertebrates.

With so much natural, historical, and archaeological places to explore and see, you will never be short of things to do in Bulgaria. Mostly free from the industrialization of Western Europe, this country is full of things that can really show you the spirit of Bulgaria. Just remember that you will need a passport. Remember that next day passport services are available online, as well as other passport services like pass port pages.
