Two weeks ago I had a quiet conversation with my Dad. He and my mom came by the house and we made a decision to cook some burgers. While I was flipping the burgers me and my Dad got wrapped up on what we were up to. I told him a tiny bit about selling Mexican car insurance online and some of the coverages concerned. He explained to me about the time that he went to Mexico and made a decision to make an early return to circumvent the heat of the day. I suspect the Mexican police decided that only drug runners travel at 3 oclock in the morning. Anyhow he was pulled over many times and questioned about his activities.
Things will be different in Mexico. They speak a different language and they have different customs, and almost everything is merely a little bit different south of the border. I have included a catalogue of some of the things which you should expect to be different on your vacation.
- • Don’t automatically expect the car in front of you to have functioning brake lights.
- • Stop on yellow. All yellow lights are a signal to stop and not just to slow down.
- • You don’t have much time to merge lanes.
- • Watch those cross walks. Pedestrians have the right-of-way.
- • Do everything possible to avoid driving at night.
Before going, make sure that you buy Mexican vehicle insurance, because it is thought of as a felony to drive in Mexico without it. Now, I’m of the opinion that you insurer’s broker told you that his policy provided coverage inside a limited distance in Mexico, and it doesn’t matter. The question is not whether there’s coverage for the accident, but whether you can prove to the Mexican peace officers that you’ve got insurance coverage. Remember that they do not read English and do not have any united states records, and cant verify any coverage. Additionally, not all insurance carriers provided coverage outside of the united states so you cant blame him for being unsure of your proof of insurance card.
I’m hoping that you’ve a most wonderful holiday. The memories will last a life-time. And don’t forget to purchase Mexican car insurance online before you go.
