Berlin Parks

The Tiergarten is undoubtedly the most famous park in Berlin. And it’s famous for a cause – or rather several reasons. A former royal hunting ground, now slap-bang in the middle of the conurbation (in Mitte) the Tiergarten is a magnificent – plus vast – swathe of green.

There are abundance of attractions in the park, not least of that is the Zoologischer Garten Berlin (Berlin’s most important zoo). But really, for any learner on a German course in Berlin, there could be few more comfortable places to sit down – under a tree, perhaps – with half an eye on a book, plus the extra on all the tourists passing by Ferienwohnungen in Berlin.

2. Viktoria Park

Rising high above the areas of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, Viktoria Park is a dissimilar beast in total from the Tiergarten. For starters, there’s none of its smartness: Viktoria Park is a determinedly urban park surrounded via a rough and (particularly in winter), grey landscape.

And that’s really what makes it so valuable amongst Berlin parks: it’s so necessary. From early in the morning when the joggers pace the paths, to late evening, when the local hipsters receive a twist before a night outwards, it’s a real focal spot of the neighborhood. Oh, and the sights of the municipality are fantastic, too!

3. Pfaueninsel

And the contrast flanked by Viktoria Park and Pfaueninsel – otherwise Peacock Isle, as it’s recognized for its striking (but noisy!) inhabitants – may scarcely exist any starker, also. Marooned in the center of the Wansee, and designed next to the end of the eighteenth century as a royal love nest, it’s undoubtedly one of the mainly idyllic of Berlin parks.

4. Grunewald

The wonderful thing about Grunewald is that it is a genuinely wild part of rural ground that’s just a stone’s fling from central Berlin. A over-sized forest, in essence, there are numerous tracks leading off into the depths of the brushwood that are ideal for jogging, horse-riding, mountain-biking, as well as most of all for beautiful strolls Ferienwohnung Berlin.

For getting out of the municipality, and blowing away the cobwebs after a long day inside the classroom (or an overdose of Berlin nightlife), there may subsist few easier places for a student on a German course in Berlin to make for.
